Bruce Lee at His Best...

Fist of Fury (1972)

Most people consider Enter the Dragon to be Bruce Lee’s best movie and although it is the largest film he was ever involved in, I do not view it has his best, I save that praise for Fist of Fury, and allow me to explain why. First and foremost, it actually has a relatively strong story, and the direction is rather good. Plus, if you have even a small interest in Bruce Lee, you really must see this movie.

Bruce Lee is a kung-fu student who returns home from studying abroad to find that not only is his teacher dead, but his fellow Chinese students are being threatened by the racist rival Japanese school. But, when Lee discovers that his beloved teacher was actually murdered, he enters into revenge mode, and the sparks really begin to fly.

Lee’s performance is almost entirely physical, but he shines throughout, and the action is downright astonishing. Trust me, if you’re a martial arts fan, you will not be let down, and there are at least a few fights here that will definitely become among your favorites.
